Dr. Kallie Honeywood MD, FRCPC
Anesthesiologist, Palliative Care Physician & Clinical Assistant Professor
I bring more than two decades of clinical experience across family medicine, anesthesiology, and palliative care, shaped by work in remote northern communities, regional hospitals, and tertiary care centres. My early years as a family physician provided a foundation in broad-scope, community-based practice, including long-term care—work that continues to guide my approach to patient-centred, team-based care.
As an anesthesiologist, I have supported surgical and critical care teams in a wide range of environments, contributing steady clinical leadership and collaborative decision-making in high-acuity settings. My palliative care practice spans hospital, community, home, and hospice, with a focus on whole-person care, clear communication, and supporting families and teams through complex transitions. I also serve as a Clinical Assistant Professor with the University of British Columbia, helping to strengthen skills in serious illness communication and evidence-informed practice for learners across disciplines.
My work includes contributing to local and provincial palliative care initiatives, including advancing a future-state vision for palliative services in the North Okanagan. Across all settings, I am motivated by a core belief: better systems begin with supporting the people within them.
